Dear Shareholders,

Amid the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, BJC came back standing strong in unity. We owed this to the cooperation from the Executive Board and all staff members in every segment. The company has introduced new measures in order to understand and adapt to the new normal, devised effective management plans to navigate uncertainties, as well as made appropriate adjustments to its investment plans for long-term stability.

The year 2021 was yet another year of various challenges. Although the COVID-19 situation saw improvement, and the performance of each business segment started gradually recover, the new Omicron variant outbreak spike during the mid-2021 still raised people's concerns over cost of living and affected the overall economy. In these circumstances for 2021, BJC generated 150,139 million Thai Baht in total revenues, a 4.8% decrease from previous year, and its consolidated net profit available for the shareholders of the company reached 3,585 million Thai Baht, a 10.4% decrease from 2020.

With the vision to be the leader in the ASEAN region, Berli Jucker Public Company Limited, or BJC, currently operates its business with operations in Thailand and the CLMV countries, namely Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia. It manages comprehensive distribution centers and logistics system all over the region, as well as operates retail businesses in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Coverage of upstream, midstream, and downstream businesses is a significant factor that enables the BJC Group to continue to grow steadily and readies it for global market endeavors in the future.

I feel honored to be able to witness the continuous growth in all of the BJC's business segments, including the glass packaging business for which the Group green-lighted more investment and production capacity expansion in order to support the growth of food and drink industry; the growth of its retail business group, Big C Supercenter, thanks to the continuous expansion of 159 new branches in 2021, ranging from Big C Supercenter hypermarkets to Big C Mini proximity stores and Pure pharmacies, and 10 conversions of Big C Market stores to Big C Foodplace, Big C Depot, and MM Food Service stores, which are the new concept stores introduced to keep in line with the needs and lifestyle of consumers today.

Throughout the past 139 years, BJC Group has continuously adhered to the principles of good governance and conducted its business with honesty and transparency. At the same time, the Group is committed to the environmental and social responsibility, and has always supported education, quality of life improvement, as well as religions and cultures, aiming to provide quality human resources that ultimately bring the country forward with sustainability. More importantly, other than its success as a Thai business, the Group is also proud to have continuously taken part in supporting the community via its BJC Big C Foundation and other social development programs launched by various organizations, working together to drive and improve the quality of life of Thai people, caring for and tending to people in the community, staff members, customers, consumers, and other surrounding communities.

Moreover, the Group also strives to be the leader in business operations that align with the sustainable development approach, to be efficient, as well as to be on top of the ever-changing business environment and competition. BJC has set its sight both on the short-term and long-term goals when it comes to important sustainability issues, e.g. reducing greenhouse gases emission, managing its supply chain, introducing social programs, among others, in order to push the Group's business operations toward its goal of Growing Sustainably Together.
